WHAT IS REIKI?
REIKI (pronounced “Ray-Key”) Reiki is simple Japanese energy balancing method that is used by hundreds of thousands of people all over the world. It is most well known as a sort of hands-on treatment technique, and many people have regular scheduled Reiki treatments to help with many issues and ailments.
WHERE IS REIKI METHOD FROM?
Reiki was developed by a man named Mikao Usui in the early 1900’s in Japan. People use Reiki for self-healing, for spiritual or self-development, and to holistically treat others. Reiki Practitioners carry out meditations, treat themselves, and follow a set of simple spiritual principles called Reiki ‘precepts’. Reiki is not a religion. It is healing with Energy.
Receiving Reiki from a Practitioner is a simple process. The client lies on a treatment table and the Practitioner will gently lay their hands on the body in a series of hand positions on the head, torso, and legs, sometimes hovering the hands rather than touching. Each hand position is held for a few minutes. During the treatment, energy (called ‘Chi’) is drawn through the practitioner into the recipient, helping to produce a state of balance. The recipient remains clothed throughout the session.
WHAT MIGHT I FEEL?
Deep relaxation, heat from the Practitioner’s hands, perhaps tingling, a feeling of floating or sinking, or perhaps nothing at all. It varies a lot from one person to another. But no matter what you feel during your treatment, Reiki is only GOOD, and it is giving you what you need, Body, mind, and spirit.
WHAT CAN REIKI DO FOR YOU?
Anyone can benefit from a course of Reiki treatments, no matter what your age or state of health and beneficial changes can take place over a short span of time.

Such as 4-6 sessions at weekly or bi-weekly intervals. The effects of Reiki build up cumulatively, and having a course of treatments helps to produce long-term beneficial changes for you on many levels.

Mostly though, love is a feeling of caring and being responsible for someone, or something.
By showing love, you get love in return.

Have you heard someone mention “Chakra” and wondered….what in the world is a Chakra!!!??
First of all the word is pronounced Cha Kra with a rolling “R”.
Not SHakra… That is a mistake made by many.
The word Chakra means Wheel of Spinning Energy.
Now for a little Big Bang Theory….
Think of the Atmosphere as a Power Plant of Cosmic energy. This cosmic energy is given to every single living and non-living thing.
As this energy comes to us as humans, it is a stream of energy much like the way your home is connected to the City Power plant by power lines, except this energy is given to us free!!! (Yay, something in life is actually free these days!)
This energy current resides along our spine in our Chakras.
Let’s say your Chakras are your own personal Energetic Power boxes, like the Breaker Box in your basement.
If you look at an x-ray you won’t actually be able to see your chakras, just like you can’t actually see electricity.
There are 7 “areas” along your spine, Chakras, and each has a function or job to do.
The Chakras spin the energy which then leaves that area and travels through your body in Nadis.
Nadis are basically like the wiring that is in the walls in your home.
There are over 72,000 Nadis in your body that channel energy to every cell! Crazy, huh?
Again, if you were cut open, you can’t see the Nadis, unlike veins, but they are there!
Back to the power boxes, the Chakras; there are 7 Chakras along your spine.
If you know what you are looking for you will be able to feel the energy from each Chakra.
How many times have you had butterflies in your tummy when you see someone you adore? THAT is your Heart Chakra working!!!
Each Chakra is in charge of different sections of your body and emotions.
Root (Muladhara) Color of Red, is located at the bottom of your spine. It is responsible for your legs, feet, bones, large intestine, and adrenal glands. It controls your fight or flight response, physical survival and earthly grounding.
Sacral (Swadhisthana) Color of Orange, is located between the base of your spine and your navel. It is associated with your lower abdomen and all of its organs. It represents pleasure, sexuality, procreation, and creativity!!
Solar Plexus (Manipura) Color of Yellow, is located a few inches above the navel, it is concerned with your digestive system, pancreas, adrenals, etc. Feelings of personal power, laughter, joy, and anger transpire in its center.
Heart (Anahata) Color of Green, is located in your physical heart center. Love, compassion, harmony and peace and unconditional love reside here. It is also associated with your lungs, heart, arms, hands and thymus gland.
Throat (Vishudda) Color of Blue, is located in the throat and is also associated with your neck, shoulders, arms, hands, thyroid and parathyroid glands. It is concerned with inner and outer hearing, developing ideas, healing, transformation, and purification.
The Third Eye (Ajna) Color of Indigo, is located at the center of your forehead just slightly higher than your eyes. It acknowledges question, perception, and knowledge, but also questions the spiritual nature of our lives. Dreams may evolve here. It is concerned with inner vision, intuition, and wisdom.
Crown (Sahasrara) Color of Purple, is located at the top of your head. It is associated with the central nervous system, pituitary gland, and cerebral cortex. Information, understanding, acceptance, and bliss along with your personal place of connection to your God and personal destiny.
There is so much more to learn, but we will continue with future talks, ideas, questions on this amazing, invisible part of our incredible selves!!!!
Everyone at one time or another has heard of the word or sound ✧ OM ✧
How many times have you heard it in a joke or funny way?
I’ve been asked quite a few times, “What is OM?”
So, what exactly is Om?
Well, the uncomplicated explanation is that Om is a part of all sounds. In its diversified form, it gives rise to all words used in language. When pronounced correctly, the sound actually is AUM.
Om is said to be the sound of the universe.
The Universe is continuously pulsating and vibrating with energy. The sound of Om when chanted has the same vibrational frequency found throughout everything in nature. That frequency is 432 Hz. So, by chanting Om, we are tuning in to our connection to all other living beings, nature and the Universe 🌾✨
The vibrations of Om also have a physical effect on the body. It slows down the nervous system and calms the mind, just like meditation. Hence the reason we chant Om while meditating. Double Whammy!!! When your mind is relaxed, your blood pressure decreases and your heart is healthy and happy! When you begin your practice, be it physical postures or meditation, chanting Om lets your body know – Hey, it is time for self-care! How wonderful is that?
So, give yourself a boost a few times a day by chanting Om! Sit up in bed before you get out, let the vibration fill your abdomen, chest, and brain to let your body know it’s going to be an Omsome day!!
