Chair yoga is suitable for students unable to participate in a traditional yoga class. Chair yoga offers a practical alternative, as it deepens flexibility and strengthens personal body awareness. Chair yoga has helped people with the symptoms of many health issues including: hypertension (high blood pressure), anxiety, chronic fatigue syndrome, arthritis, vertigo (medical), multiple sclerosis, Osteoporosis, Osteopenia, carpal tunnel syndrome, clinical depression, and chronic pain. Clients can learn many kinds of yoga postures, yoga breathing techniques, meditation, and ways of relaxation, with the aid of a chair.
This introductory class is intended for those brand new to yoga or those who prefer a slower pace and additional instruction in the poses. Elements of a vinyasa practice are explained more thoroughly – with emphasis on proper breathing, alignment, and mindful movement. Priority is placed on the foundational postures, such as sun salutations, standing poses, and beginning backbends and balancing poses. Specific attention will be given to the alignment cues and actions of the poses to develop confidence and stability in the practice.
Yoga can help kids:

· Have an alternative to tuning out through constant attachment to electronic devices
A parent or guardian must be present during the session.

Meditation can promote relaxation, which can lower blood pressure and reduce other problems related to stress. You can also use it to help reach goals (such as losing weight or quitting smoking), manage pain and promote healing. Guided relaxation is a powerful tool that helps manage stress, find inner peace, and improve mental function. It can also cultivate self-awareness, compassion, and empathy. I am a Certified Reiki Master Teacher
The spiritual healing art of Reiki works by channeling positive energy into your body, with Reiki masters and practitioners typically placing their hands on the affected areas of the body that need a boost, offering this energy and your body takes in the energy where most needed.
Reiki may potentially help you enjoy:
· A boost to your body’s healing mechanisms, which once again begin to function effectively
· Potential reduced blood pressure, heart rate and stress hormones from the relaxation response
· Increased immune system strength
· A shifting from the stress response of “fight or flight” to the relaxation response
· A restoration of balance to your body, mind and soul
Reiki energies have a high and healthy frequency and potency. Reiki masters and practitioners must undergo an attunment process in order to effectively channel the Reiki energies. You can use Reiki on its own for enhanced wellness or in conjunction with traditional medicine anytime your body, mind and soul need a powerful, beautiful boost.
